Honeywell has developed the Voyager Extreme Performance (XP) 1470g specifically for retail environments. It captures all common 1D and 2D barcodes as well as dot codes and digital coupons from smartphones or tablets. It even captures damaged or hard-to-read barcodes reliably and quickly - a big time-saver. Thanks to the extended scanning distance, even inaccessible barcodes are reliably captured. The... scanner's movement tolerance is 70 cm/s and the scanning angle is 39.2° horizontally and 27.4° vertically. The 2D scanner can withstand multiple drops from a height of up to 1.8 metres and is protected against the ingress of foreign bodies up to 1 mm in accordance with its IP40 certification. The USB, Keyboard Wedge (KBW), RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces with support for IBM 46XX ensure good performance at all times. Another advantage is that it is fully backward compatible with existing Voyager accessories. This significantly reduces the total cost of ownership, as there are no additional costs for optional accessories.
